PSA Team Members Participate in Landmark “It’s Cool to Fly American” Event

PSA Airlines had the honor to take part in an important American Airlines program which provides a dress rehearsal to ease the stress and unique challenges presented during flying for children with autism and other developmental disabilities and their families. The “It’s Cool to Fly American” event took place recently at Dayton International Airport and PSA Airlines employees volunteered their time at the event that provided vital support for more than 100 local participants.

The event provides the opportunity for families to go through the entire air travel process – from parking to going through a TSA checkpoint to finding the gate and eventually getting on the plane and PSA Flight Attendants took part in tangible experience allowing them to serve customers better and the event provided learning opportunities for team members to manage their behaviors to accommodate the needs of their passengers.

“Having the chance to make someone’s traveling experience smooth and most of all safe is why we are here today,” said Britt Roach, Flight Attendant for PSA Airlines. “To be able to give an entire family a real-life practice run of that makes our job and our service to the community all that better. I’m looking forward to the growth and participation in these charity events in the future. It’s a great thing for our company, community and our own personal perception of others.”
