PSA Airlines Launches Program To Provide an Additional $34,000 in Funding for Future Leaders

DAYTON, Ohio, April 25, 2018 – PSA Airlines, one of the first regional carriers to launch an industry-leading Cadet Program, is enhancing its initiative even further by introducing the first Cadet Scholarship Program. The new program provides a total of $34,000 in funding, up to $5,000 per student, for current Cadets enrolled in PSA programs. The scholarship money will assist these future aviators in their progression through academic and aviation programs that will keep them on the path to starting their commercial aviation career as a PSA pilot.

“PSA Airlines is the first regional carrier to introduce a scholarship program of this magnitude and we are thrilled to offer additional support to the brightest future aviators in the industry,” said Christine Wampach, Director of Recruiting, Flight Operations – PSA Airlines. “This initiative is just one other way PSA is dedicated to attracting and mentoring the most promising future aviators. We are committed to developing our Cadets to PSA pilots, which will lead them to a direct and stable path to flow to American Airlines.”

PSA’s Cadet program helps the most promising future pilots make a smooth transition from the classroom at top colleges, universities and flight schools to the cockpit. The program offers various levels of support as the Cadet’s certifications, training and experience evolves, including up to $16,000 in tuition reimbursement. Mentorships and internships with airline industry experts can begin as early as a Cadet’s freshman year. Pledging mentorship helps ensure the Cadets are successful along the way, including when they go through the PSA training program. PSA has partnered with 18 schools and will continue to grow the program over the coming years.

Scholarship winners must be currently enrolled in the PSA Cadet Program and will be awarded funding based on select criteria. For more information on PSA’s Cadet and Scholarship Program and how aviation professionals can get involved, visit
