Charlotte Mechanic Honored as 40 Under 40 Recipient

Charlotte mechanic Kerrigan Batsa was recently recognized as a 2020 Next Gen Aircraft Maintenance Professionals Awards Program 40 Under 40 recipient. The honor is given to selected individuals from all segments of the industry, including general aviation, business aviation, airlines, repair stations and MROs, as well as education. According to CLT maintenance base manager Jim Mathers, Kerrigan is an example of the type of mechanics we need in the industry with her eagerness to learn the trade, seeking out opportunities to improve on her skills and asking questions of her leads to gain a better perspective in a new or difficult task.

Kerrigan said she is grateful for the recognition and encouragement to succeed.

“I hope to be an inspiration to young women considering a career in aviation,” said Kerrigan.
