Stories of Honor: Lisa Ridgeway, Air Force, 1989-1992

My life was shaped by the sound of jet engines and the sight of aircraft soaring overhead. I grew up in an Air Force family, with my father working on the F-16 Close Air Support aircraft and living near the flightline. It sparked my lifelong love for aviation and the military.

This upbringing drove a deep sense of duty in me. I began my own military career serving during the Desert Shield/Desert Storm conflict. I was stationed in the Azores, Portugal as a paramedic.

The military taught me work ethic, dedication, and integrity.

Service runs strong in my family. My daughter, Jordyn, proudly serves as a Gunnery Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps alongside her husband, Patrick, also a Gunnery Sergeant. They are both stationed in Jacksonville, N.C.

My son, Nolan, served four years in the Marine Corps as a Corporal before continuing his commitment to community as a Deputy Sheriff.

Today, I bring the same passion and discipline to PSA Airlines as Manager of Inflight Operations. I never dreamed I would be working for the best airline, following my dream skyward.

My leadership style, resilience, and the power of service – both on the ground and in the skies – are a testament to my childhood and military experience, coupled with the support I receive from my family.
