How long have you worked for PSA? 16 Months

How long have you been in the airline industry? Where did you work before PSA? Before PSA, I was a student at Lee University studying Public Relations and Communications, with Advertising. I began with PSA in the OCC (Operations Control Center) as a Crew Scheduler for eight months, and then moved to Charlotte, NC, to join the recruiting team.

What brought you to PSA? Initially, I joined PSA since the headquarters is near my hometown and I wanted to obtain a career within the travel industry. I always enjoyed traveling to new locations from past family vacations or mission trips.

Give us a brief overview of what you do:  My duties vary on a day-to-day basis, but generally, a regular day will include coordinating the logistics for recruiting events including event attendees, promotional materials, shipping and hotel and transportation accommodations for recruiters. I manage the recruiting budget and standard operating procedures for promotional materials and events. In addition, I assist in conducting pilot interviews.

What is one of the biggest challenges of your job? One of the biggest challenges of my job is dealing with the moving parts of the recruiting events.

Where’s your favorite place you have traveled? It’s hard for me to only pick one favorite place, so my top three trips so far have been Madrid, Paris and Punta Cana. The next country I would like to cross off my travel list is Portugal.

What are some of your hobbies? I love to work out, run, play soccer, read and travel, of course.

What do you love about working for PSA? The flight benefits! And all the opportunities to grow as a young professional.

Why would you recommend PSA? I recommend PSA because we are one of the fastest growing companies and airlines. There always seems to be a new opportunity available to grow.

Tell us something about your role that most people don’t know: I have my own bins on wheels that I drag all around the American Airlines Training Center to ship to the events. This includes all the promotional items and banners, but most visitors just think I’m a crew member who can’t pack light.

What has been the most rewarding part of your job? The most rewarding part of my job is getting to attend some of the recruiting events, such as the Melbourne Air Show. Getting to see how all the work put into the preparation for the events plays out is a great experience.

Tell us something no one knows about you: I have played on an all-male soccer team in Charlotte.
