How long have you worked for PSA? I started working at PSA in March 2004 when the Dornier aircrafts were phasing out and CRJs were arriving.
How long have you been in the airline industry? Starting my 14th year with PSA.
Where did you work before PSA? I worked at Corning Inc in Greenville, OH, for 19 years.
What brought you to PSA? The Greenville Corning plant shut down and went overseas, so I went to college and got an Associate Degree in Business-Administrative Assistant.
Give us a brief overview of what you do: Technical Publications Specialist for Maintenance. The Technical Publications Specialist – Mtx is responsible for PSA-created maintenance manuals, emergency and safety procedure manuals, and other manuals as assigned, which includes making the necessary corrections and scheduling the copying/printing and performing the physical distribution.
What is one of the biggest challenges of your job? Making sure all the typos are corrected in the markups given to me including catching my own typos. Also, coordinating with others to make sure deadlines are met.
Where’s your favorite place you have traveled? Zurich, Switzerland and the surrounding area. Although Zurich is a large city, it still felt like small town. It helped I had a nephew living there at the time and he was my own personal tour guide.
What are some of your hobbies? I am the Regent of Fort GreeneVille Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution. We focus on historical preservation and Veterans. I also am involved in several local community committees. Of course, hanging out with my two granddaughters, family and friends are my top priority.
What do you love about working for PSA? I enjoy the people and my job duties. Everyone in the Maintenance Department is great to work with.
Would you recommend PSA and why? Absolutely, although PSA is growing, it still feels like family.
Tell us something about your role that most people don’t know: That I work on several different manuals at a time and am constantly changing gears. Thank goodness, I am organized, well most of the time. LOL
What has been the most rewarding part of your job? Loving what I am doing. Of course, the travel benefits are a plus.
Tell us something no one knows about you: I owned and trained my own racehorse. I can brag she made her lifetime mark while training in my stable. My son is a professional horse trainer and driver in Ohio and surrounding states.

How long have you worked for PSA? I started working at PSA in the beginning of January 2016.
How long have you been in the airline industry? The airline industry is new to me.
Where did you work before PSA? I worked at DRS Technologies, which is a Department of Defense contract Engineering firm for 12 years in HR. Before that, I worked as a Manufacturing Manager for McGregor & Associates for 17 years.
What brought you to PSA? After my company downsized, I was looking to continue my HR career with a local company.
Give us a brief overview of what you do: I supervise the HR administrators. We oversee the pre-employment and new hire aspects of onboarding. I oversee the Employee Referral Program and assist the HR Manager with various employee relations.
What is the most common question you get from new hires? It is mostly about travel. When am I eligible to travel?
What is one of the biggest challenges of your job? Trying to put into words what I do. Lol.
Where’s your favorite place you have traveled? We took a family vacation to Memphis a few years ago. My family and I love music. We toured Sun Studios where Elvis used to record and walked down Biel Street and listened to live music and, of course, went to Graceland.
What are some of your hobbies? I love to sing and entertain. I sing in my church choir and my husband, his dad and I sing in a nursing home ministry. While my husband and his dad set up, I go around the room loving on the residents. They may not get many visitors so they need that human touch.
You often have patterns painted on your fingernails. How often do you have your nails done? Why do you put patterns on them? Too funny, I’ve never been a very conservative or quiet person. It is a way for me to express myself without going too crazy. I get most of my ideas from Pinterest.
What do you love about working for PSA? I love people. Working in HR gives me interaction with every department. I also love meeting new hires on their first day. I feel like it is my job to welcome them and make them feel like they have made a great decision by coming here.
Would you recommend PSA and why? Absolutely, PSA is growing and getting to be a better place to work every day.
Tell us something about your role that most people don’t know: There were only about 12 people in HR when I started with here. Our department has tripled in size since then. It has been challenging and exciting at the same time.
What has been the most rewarding part of your job? Getting to meet all of the new faces on their first day.
Tell us something no one (at PSA) knows about you: I am the mother of three beautiful daughters and a 5-year-old granddaughter. My daughters are 35, 26, and 12 years old. I have sold Premier Designs Jewelry for about 9 years now. When I retire, I would like to open my own Bling boutique.
After more than three years of incremental growth, Dayton-based PSA Airlines Inc. is hitting the final stage of its fleet expansion, meaning another 1,000 hires.
The Dayton-based airline has 2,950 employees and 115 jets in its fleet today, as it approaches a new final fleet of 150 aircraft. Once its fleet reaches that number it will employ nearly 3,700 people, almost four times what it did three years ago, Dion Flannery, president of the company, told me. Between new jobs and backfilling positions, the company will be hiring more than 1,000 pilots and additional employees in the next year.
“We’ve been at this for a while,” Flannery said. “We were an anonymous entity. I’m happy to say that’s not the case anymore. We’ve been building a brand and extending it internally and externally.”
With parent company American Airlines Group pushing it into ever more cities, the once-low-key US Airways regional subsidiary is looking to transform into a national brand, one of 10 regional subsidiaries that fly smaller jets to airports of all sizes around the country.
